Photography - always an integral part of my life

I am a long standing pro-am photographer covering sports, gigs, a few weddings, but with a special interest in pet and observational work. You will see examples in my galleries on this site. With digital photography the same rules apply as they did in the days of film but software and post processing play an important part so my IT skills are especially relevant.

Photographs are a way of preserving a moment in our lives for the rest of our lives. With good quality cameras on our phones we have all become photographers to some extent. We all know friends that have to capture every last moment down to their last meal! That does not mean dedicated camera systems and photographers are obsolete - far from it.

Capture a moment for posterity

• Pets are amongst our closest dearest companions so it is quite naturual for us to wish to capture their personality for the future
• Portraiture clearly predates cameras and can comprise a single model or group in any number of settings
• Weddings I don't undertake many wedding commissions, restricting myself to more intimate ones, but I have been privileged to shoot traditional weddings, civil partnerships and even a pagan handfasting ceremony
• Photo Transformation with today's digital tools we can restore old photos and prints, change the look and feel or combine images

As I am not a full-time professional photographer my fees are more accessible, however, I operate 2 professional Nikon cameras supplemented by 3 Fujifilms. Be aware items such as studio hire, photo books or large format printing will incur additional charges.
